Forms of Reform (2020)

WHAT

An adaptable pants that adjusts to different sizes and shapes, questioning the norms that govern our clothes.

WHY

Recognizing that clothing is an important aspect of our individual and collective identities, Fontana transforms, subverts, and reimagines them. With Forms of Reform, he challenges the normative aspects of fashion and how through dressing ourselves, we are navigating between a double processes of individualisation and uniformisation. The ability to fully choose our clothing often diminishes when we do not fit standard sizes.

HOW

By contrasting standardised trouser sizes and shapes with individual body shapes, this trouser adapts itself to various people.
